Obituary for
Ludwic 'Sergai' Winterbauer
Ludwic Sergai Winterbauer
Sergai was born in Houston, Texas on August 4th,1958 and left this earth to be with Jesus on March 4th, 2024.
Sergai spent his life working as a carpenter. Even though he did carpentry all day at work he was the first to offer his skill to those he loved. He had the ability to create beautiful things and made the world a more beautiful place.
Sergai loved road trips. He discovered a passion for motorcycles later in life and spent hours cruising with his beloved wife, Colleen. His favorite places to go included the Texas Hill Country where he’d spend time at Gruene Hall, as well as New Mexico and Colorado. He also loved traveling to Nebraska to visit his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren.
.
He liked watching all sports, football, baseball, basketball, and golf. His favorite team was the Houston Texans. He looked forward to the start of the season every year and watching the games with his wife.
Sergai’s favorite thing in his life was his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and doting grandfather. His world revolved around providing for and loving each and every one of them. When the grandchildren and great-grandchild came on the scene they took over his world. Each one had a special place in his heart. Each one had a unique Paw-Paw inspired nickname and he commemorated each by getting a new tattoo.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Michael Ray and Billy Jr., sisters Mary and Linda, father Bill, and mother Mary.
.
He is survived by his wife Colleen, children Shane and his wife Ali, Karensa and her husband Derick, Lee and his wife Shayna, Tray and his wife Toni; grandchildren Madison, Sarah, Gracie, Abby, Makayla, Jaxon, June, Anna, Vicky, Landon, Lily, Owen, Austin, Kinsey, Kaycee, Zak and Mylo and great-granddaughter Harper; sister Rosella and husband Mike as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
