Obituary for Bryan Webb

Bryan Webb, beloved husband of Mignon, was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1965 to William and Monica Webb. After a brave and protracted battle with cancer, he passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family in Atascocita, Texas, on on 7 March 2024.

Bryan is survived by his wife Mignon, and his two stepsons whom he raised, Tyrone and Kyle Smith, Mariana Smith, wife of Tyrone and mother of Rex and Tiana, his adored and adoring grandchildren. His brother, Kevin in South Africa, survives him, and in Texas, his sister Rachelle Roberts and her husband Jay, and her children Alex and Meghan.

Bryan will be sadly missed by Mignon’s family, in South Africa, his mother-in-law Yvonne Rawson, Mignon’s siblings and their families; Warren and Karen Rawson, Simone and Mike Pregnolata, Darren Rawson, and nieces and nephews. Numerous family members and friends with whom they spent a most wonderful vacation and time of renewal on their last family vacation in South Africa; he leaves memories of the gentleman that he was, a wicked sense of humor. His capacity for great fun and laughter.

Bryan was the greatest host; he loved to entertain with good food, drink, and good music in the company of his friends made over the years. He was at his best when he and Mignon were hosting their fabulous Braais, (South African for a BBQ – just a bit different.) Bryan made his boerewors, a South African sausage, not available in local supermarkets.

In Bryan, Rex and Tiana had the best Grampy. Bubbles, water balloons, gummy bears, and pizza, he imprinted on them a memory of a grandfather who epitomized the best of humanity.

From a very young age, he dreamt of coming to America. He met and married Mignon, and they came over as a family. Assimilation was a breeze; he was able to work in a field in which he excelled. His computer acumen led him to a long and rewarding career with Powell Industries.

Bryan made lifelong friends, in both South Africa and here in America who will truly miss him and his keen sense of humor.

Bryan, until we meet again, rest in perfect peace, you are always in our hearts; we love you and will always love you.
